In RP? People don't think exactly alike So obviously you have to go off-topic somewhere.

Of course they dont think alike, but then multiple people can actually form the plot into something
I think a plot might actually bring this thing to life

but I think it CAN'T be accomplished because everyone still needs to think alike for that. Or, they need to know the plot. And that just isn't as fun in a RPG.

Well, you can twist the plot, not necessarily ruining it (You can make it go a different way than was planned) Therefore you dont need to know the plot, or think alike to have a good plot
You dont neeeeeeed to do random thingsss T_T

Or set the RP up to continue after the plot. You know, blah blah blah, *blank number* Mitsurei citizens are stranded in a forest due to *blank* Then you go from there. That way you have your basis without infringing on people's creativity.
Though I agree with Ess Vee, I don't think anyone will be too terribly upset if you take the plotline somewhere they didn't intend it to go. The fun of RP is that you can't expect anything.

Whyyyyy cant people just stay on topic @_@ I don't see a plot twist or a new character entering the scene and introducing something new as off topic. Some threads do get a little random at times, I'll admit. A perfect example is the thread titled "Rain", in which a very peculiar crowd gathers in the middle of a forest during a rainstorm to....who knows what. ^^;; (The thread originally was one character's 'solitary' walk through the rain, but that changed very soon.... >__> )

LoL. If it's solitary, the walk won't go very far, will it?
