"Friends? People you meet at orphanages can't always be friends. Once they get adopted, they get whisked off and you never talk to them again." She said.
"Parents don't come back after they leave you. Move on and be independent, it's one of the best lessons any parent could teach. There's none of that in the orphanage." Riyo had a very strong hatred for Orphanages. She was an orphan herself.
"Besides, there are more people outside the Orphanage than in it."

Kai frowned at Riyo's reply.
"Kai's momma and poppa died a long time ago, but that doesn't mean I have to go to orphanages..." Kai mumbled.
"The orphanage lets me go outside,"

"Mitsurei's Orphanage is where I grew up," Midori said simply, having slowed to a walk, deciding that running wasn't exactly to do when holding this conversation.
"I'm not sure what orphange you guys were dumped at, but the one here is the best one you will ever come upon. I would never intentionally send children to a crappy orphanage, just to make sure they don't cause trouble on the streets. I may be a cop, and cops may seem to only care about the law, but I am very much human and understand homeless children -- for I was once them."

"Then you're the luckiest orphan on this damned block." Riyo said, walking away. Tears stung her eyes. Memories flashed once more in her mind's eye as it always did whenever she suddenly recalled something she would rather have been scrapped from her memory.
"Is the Orphanage a nice place, mister officer?" Little Riyo asked a nice looking guy in a police uniform.
"Yes, they'll take good care of you since your mum and dad ain't anywhere to be seen. You get to meet other kids and you get to see all kinds of things there!" He said, carrying Riyo on his back in a piggyback.
She reached a tree, climbed up to highest limbs and started watching the sky. It was dark and cloudy. So much for quiet peaceful reflection.
"You little brat, you get back here!"
Riyo glared down at her from on top of the tree. "NEVER!"
The Orphanage Mistress lashed her whip ferociously. The kids watched by in fear. Riyo trembled. She was terrified.
"You have to pay for going out on the streets, you bratty kid! I told you, ugly kids like you stay in the back of the Orphanage!!!" she yelled, trying to shake Riyo down from the tree.
"You get away rom me, you old hag!" She screamed. Riyo was still small, she hadn't learned to climb up high yet. In fact, her right foot was in inches of the hag's claws.
The Orphanage Mistress realized this and grabbed Riyo's leg. "Come down here, f**cking brat!"
The children around gasped. She had said a bad word. AGAIN.
Riyo tried to shake her off. Her nails here digging painfuly into her ankle. "I'm not going back in there again, you'll hit me again!"
"Little children need to learn discipline, brat!" she replied. She wrapped the whip around Riyo's leg and started pulling her down from the tree.
Riyo screamed and kicked in protest. "NO!"
Suddenly, the tree limb couldn't handle the wight. Riyo fell down from the tree with a large crash, several heavy branches following her. She screamed in pain as she felt her small figure being pounded by the tree limbs.
"That's what you get for not listening to me, brat!" THe Orphanage Mistress sneered. She grabbed Riyo's hand and dragged her out from the tree rubble and towards the dorm.
"No supper for you again, you little delinquent!"
Riyo screamed and cried as she felt her ankle begin to swell. An inflammation and fracture, they would learn later.
Her hand flew subconciously to her right ankle. She had been healed long ago, but still the scars remained. She was human too. She could feel too.

">_< Midori-Chan.... Riyo seems very upset by this... " Kai stated simply. But... if that were the case, then should they put Aziz into the orphanage? Would that be right?

Zxien smiled. "In my opinion... I think orphanages are torture chambers! ;D Quite fun actually."

Kai sweat-dropped at Zxien's reaction.

Midori stared blankly at Zxien.
"...You twisted person," was all she muttered as she glanced after where Riyo went off to.
She'd go follow her and try to talk to her or something, but... she didn't know that girl, really. And... Talking and comforting was not what Midori does.
And so, she set her sights forwards, pausing down at the foot of the tree in which Azi had clambered up to.
"Will you COME DOWN?" she asked, eyeing him.
He shook his head wildly, clinging to a branch.
"NEVER!"

Kai sweat-dropped at Midori's reaction. "Mou, Midori-Chan, wouldn't it be better if Aziz-boy fell? "

"Hmm, yes, it rather would," Midori mused out loud.
Azi sent a glare down at the girls.
"And if he stays up there, he will most likely fall," Midori said loudly.
Azi went dot-eyed, gulping to himself, just then noticing how... high he seemed to be.

"T____________T Be quiet," Azi snapped, now too terrified to even try to climb down.
"Just come down, and you won't fall," Midori said calmly.
"But... I.... can't come down..." Azi said, fidgeting.
