A ghost of a grin graced Rye's face. Smiling up at the blacksmith most angelically, she rolled up her plan carefully.
"Thanks! Er- may I borrow an axe?"

"Hey, hey, hey!" Momiji said, shoving herself in front of the blacksmith, pressing the pointed end of one of her arrows against his neck lightly. "What about my arrows?"
The blacksmith stared at the arrow as great drops of sweat glided down his face. Gulping loudly, he moved the arrow away from him. "No more silver angel sand here little missy. We ran out of stock a long time ago."
Momiji returned her arrow. "And if I come back with some silver angel sand?"
"Are you planning to ram one of the arrows through my throat?"
"Are you going to make my arrows?"
"Not if you slit my throat." he said, backing up a little. He was a balcksmith, not a fighter. Best not to get into any trouble with these kinds of people.
"Not if you'll make my arrows. Half price since you made me wait." she replied testily.
The blacksmith knew better than to mess around with this archer. "Half price." he agreed, hoping that she would leave his shop soon.
Momiji looked at him long and hard. She took a glance behind him towards his workshop and reluctantly turned around. "I'll be back."
And with that, Momiji left the shop.
the blacksmith finally started breathing easily. "I sure just hope she won't shoot me with the arrows I make her if she ever finds out that I have silver angel sand at my place."

Rye patted the blacksmith's shoulder.
"I understand how you feel. Axe please?"
The blacksmith sighed and handed over the axe.

The door to the blacksmith's shop opened. Artos walked into the shop and looked around. He approached the smith and asked:
"Excuse me, sir, but may I use your facilities?"
"Sure son, the bathroom's in the back."
Artos stood there and stared at the smith. "I don't mean your restroom, sir. I was wondering if I could use your hammer and anvil."
The smith eyed Artos carefully. "And just why do you need to use my hammer and anvil? Why can't I use them and do whatever you need?"
Artos smiled faintly. "No human can touch my weapon."
This got the smith intrigued. "And why can't I touch it?"
"You are physically incapable of touching my weapon."
"Why?"
"I don't like repeating myself."
The smith thought for a second. "Fine. You may use my anvil and hammer- but for a price."
"Alright. Name your price," Artos said.
And the smith did. Artos proceeded to the back room. Sounds of hammering and grinding could be heard. Not too long after this, Artos emerged from the back. He handed the smith more money. "I had to use your grindstone," he said.
"Oh. Well, your patronage is quite appreciated," replied the smith. He looked Artos over. "Um, I don't see a weapon on you."
"Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not there," explained Artos. He smirked, opened the door, pulled his cloak's hood over his head, and left.

Templar slipped into the shop, unnoticed. That suited him fine. He had noticed many people coming in and out of the shop and took it as an opportunity. He muttered a spell and sank into the shadows of the wall, biding his time.

Rye sat in a corner of the blacksmith's slowly chipping off wooden shaving from a large tree branch. A new barbecue pole this time. Sharper, and larger.
Especially for Cervantes, she thought, savagely shaving off another layer of wood.
She need a new weapon anyway. She couldn't handle a sword, a bow, or a shield, and her only staff had been destroyed in battle. What's more, she was broke. She breathed out an audible sigh.
Her life was in the pits.

From his corner, Templar observed the customers carefully. Or to be more specific, their pockets. It seemed like no one could spare anything. He sighed silently and reappeared out of the shadows. Still no one noticed him. But as he left, he overheard a sigh. He turned around and saw a girl struggling with a wooden stick. He sighed to himself. Why do I have a conscience, WHY?! Approaching the girl, he pulled out a chunk of dark matter from his cloak and held it out to her. "This is galvorn. It's a material stronger than steel, yet easy to carve. Do me a favor and use it..." ;D

Rye looked up at the stranger curiously. Why would someone give her such a precious material when they didn't know each other?
Oh well, it was free. Flashing a grin at her benefactor, she extended a hand.
"Thanks. I'm Rye, you are?" Then, making space on the wooden bench for him, she patted the empty spot.
"Mind sitting her for awhile? I'm kinda bored with no company."

Templar looked around awkwardly. "Okay... I'm Templar by the way." he sat down beside her and examined his boots.

"And by the way, your boots look just fine to me." Grinning, Rye started carving a staff out of the galvom.
"You're right-- this -is- easy!"

Templar looked up. "Yeah. It's the stuff my armor and scythe are made of. My father..." Templar looked away again.

"It's alright if you don't wanna talk about it." Rye continued carving, a small wistful smile on her face.
"I don't like talking about my father too."
