Haha, don't worry. I'm just teasing. We'll see if we can pick it back up when I get back from Vegas.

LAST TIME ON N~N....
Katsu has been diagnosed with a fatal virus as the crew recovers from their confrontation with Kei. While Roni and Aaron drill Dante, Dr. Drake's twin brother and imposter, Adele and Natsuki have snuck out of the hospital to face Kei once again....
(dun dun dun)
Natsuki stared up at the old building, its shadow pressing over him as it the building itself were his quarry. He stared at the window he now knew led to Kei's office. He shivered slightly, remembering his last visit to this building, and tightened his grip on the gun in his pocket. Natsuki was loaded for bear. the gun in the pocket of his jacket was a Smith and Wesson .38 special, a gift from Aaron years ago. underneath the coat was a 40-caliber Browning in a shoulder holster. A knife about the size of his forearm was strapped into a spine sheath across his back.
He glanced at Adele, nodding. "Race you to the top," he said lightly.
Adele smiled. "Don't get killed."
With that the two parted ways, setting a plan into action. The two had scoped out blueprint for the building at the City Hall. There was a storm cellar that had been put in when the building was brand new. According to the talkative woman at City Hall, the downstairs cellars and basement should be completely empty, as the foundations had been deemed unsafe a few years back. Only the owners, who had some friends in high places, had kept the building from complete demolition. Natsuki would be going in through there, banking on the cellar being empty. Adele would be going in through a side entry on the other side of Natsuki. With a final nod from Natsuki and a bemused salute from Adele, the two parted ways.
"Meet you at the top, Kei." Natsuki whispered softly.
(ooc- Let Natsuki through, if you will. I have plans for funness.)

ooc - sorry about the wait. But I shall (finally) post. Forgive me for my tardiness. By the way, where is Roni or who is he with? I lost him after you made Natsuki run off searching for Katsu...
ic - Dante smirked as he felt the steel against his temple. "So you weren't as dumb as I was about to think you were. That pathetic fool inside?" he said condescendingly, "he's my twin brother. I am Dr. Dante Naosaki. Happy now?"
**
Katsu paused outside Natsuki's hospital room, his fingers clenched around the bag of pills he had gotten from the doctor. Three months, at the longest. Three months to live. He gritted his teeth. Perhaps this was true divine retribution. Well, he wasn't going to spend his last moments wondering when Kei would come for them. He turned around and walked away. He needed to get ready. If he was going to die, he would bring Kei with him to Hell.
**
Kei pondered, his fingers delicately tapping on his desk as he began doing what he did best - plan. To win a game, enemies had to be crushed. Losing was unacceptable, and a stalemate was no better.
"Joseph?" he said in a precise tone.
"Yes, Kei-sama?"
"I want you to secure the premises. All guards are to be armed and on alert. Let them keep in mind that betraying me means death. I have a feeling that at least one of them will be back, because Dante has already left me a message. The virus is no longer dormant. Give orders to the guards that any intruders must be captured alive if possible, but if they resist, kill them. You and three of your best men shall guard me."
"Yes, Kei-sama." Joseph bowed. "No other orders?"
"...Under no circumstances are Umebuki Katsu or Kiori Natsuki to be in mortal danger. Unconscious or lightly wounded is acceptable."
"I understand." Joseph bowed again, and began to make preparations.
**
Katsu knew he had no time to waste. He went back to his flat and began to arm himself. He slipped two long, slim throwing knives into the sheaths hidden in both boots, and strapped on shoulder holsters with two fully loaded handguns. He pulled on a coat and made sure he had enough extra ammunition on himself.
**
Joseph systematically began to complete his orders. He swiftly logged in to the central security system and passed on orders to all squad leaders.
He then ran all the security cameras and motion detectors through diagnostics for tampering and potential malfunctioning. When he was satisfied with the results, he began arming himself.
He loaded his preferred silenced sniper rifle with a calm determination. He had failed to protect Kei-sama before, and it was only because their opponents were merciful. If it were other enemies, they would have not left Kei-sama, or him, alive.
ooc - dun dun dun...war is on. Sort of. Adele and Natsuki should be still able to infiltrate for now, since orders take a bit of time to trickle down...

(ooc- Roni is...somewhere. He's still at the hospital, and was with Aaron. I just assume he fell back when Aaron pulled the gun on Dante. Or something like that. *shrugs* )
Adele glanced up the empty corridor as she crept in, shutting the glass side door a quietly as she could. Slipping on a pair of sunglasses, she blinked a few times as her eyes adjusted to the sudden dimness. Then she swept her long hair over her shoulder and and walked nonchalantly down the hall, allowing her tall heels to click sharply across the tile. She was surprisingly cool for someone sneaking into enemy territory, but Adele even managed a smile for the pair of guards as she swept past, who offered a couple catcalls in return. She was nobody worth any mind, and they probably didn't expect Natsuki to return just yet, let alone her. Beside, Adele liked the danger. She was an odd puppy. She walked through like she owned the place, then disappeared into the elevators with a 'ding'.
~ ~ ~*~ ~ ~
Natsuki coughed softly, glancing at his dim surroundings. It was as he had expected... there was nothing in the old basement but dust. He squinted, staring at the support beams. It was obvious the place was in ill repair. The building probably wouldn't last another 5 years. But as long as it didn't come down on top of him, Natsuki couldn't care less.
He felt along the wall gently, searching for a stairway he only knew existed from the blueprints. While the entire building should've been condemned, there were certain parts that almost had to be closed off. There was one stairway of the building that would most likely be vacated, for a good 5 floors. Natsuki set his foot on the first stair, testing the sturdiness of the old steps. It was a good thing Natsuki was petite, he mused, as he started up the stairs. A small smile crept onto his face. Natsuki would have a good head start before anyone caught on, and maybe-- just maybe-- he could manage to surprise Kei. It was a great thought.

ooc - (feels giddy) Oh yes, are we still going ahead with our Joseph/Adele pairing idea? I think they are cute after all...
ic -
Joseph was definitely not happy when he looked into the security cameras.
This could be attributed to two factors - disappointment at having overestimated his security teams, and the fact that he recognized the intruder.
Hooking his earpiece around the shell of his ear, he resisted the urge to yell at his incompetent subordinates. When he said orders were to be carried out immediately, he meant immediately. He breathed deeply before saying in a clipped voice into the attached microphone, "Bradley, Kei-sama will not be pleased to hear that your sector has already been infiltrated. On alert does not mean that the guards welcome strangers to enter the building. You need to move in, NOW."
He removed his suit jacket and slipped a handgun into a holster strapped to his hips. He kept a close eye on the security monitors while stationing his rifle to aim at the doors to Kei's office (the room being just above), strategic gaps placed in the flooring that were difficult to see from below.
**
Katsu could feel the strain already from the pills. It burned less, but he could feel the fatigue from the painkillers deep in his bones.
He unearthed his old motorbike, praying to anything that it could still go, and almost gave up when the bike finally roared to life. Wiping some of the dust off it, he kicked off, zooming down the road.
ooc - I know I sound like a nag, but what happened with Aaron, Dante and Roni? (XD or maybe you're still deciding on what to write)
